Business Analytics Paid Internship

In this Business Analytics Internship, you will work on gaining insight and developing models around the potential costs saving when optimizing the sequencing of our work orders. Develop an optimization model to aid in scheduling open work orders.

 A simple way to process work orders is first-in, first-out. If we take this approach, it is possible for a technician to travel 100 miles for a one-hour job on Monday and then travel the same 100 miles on Wednesday to perform a similar one-hour job. Combining these trips would save time and money, reduce emissions, and improve the customer experience.

In this internship, your objective will be:

• Quantify the opportunity to optimize the scheduling for customer care.
• Develop a model to predict the average length of a work order.
• Bonus: Developing a model that optimizes the sequencing of open work orders in our backlog.

You will be using SQL, Tableau, Python and other analytics tools in this internship. This is a paid internship that is 40 hours/week.
