Optical Hardware R&D Intern

Position: Optical Hardware R&D Intern 
Duration: 10 weeks
Date: Summer 2024. June 2024- Aug 2024
Location: Murray Hill, NJ

 

Education Recommendations

Bachelor of Science student matriculating in computer science, computer systems, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or related discipline.

 

As part of our team, you will:

  • Assist with assembly, bring-up, debugging, and programming of complex high-speed electro-optical assemblies
  • Gain familiarity with high-speed optical communications systems
  • Interact with senior development engineers for direction and expertise

 

You have:

  • Practical, hands-on experience with bring-up and debugging of electronic systems.
  • Background in developing python applications, including external interfacing to instrumentation and network elements.
  • Understanding of Linux, TCP/IP networking, and ethernet.

 It would be nice if you also had:

  • Experience with electronics lab instrumentation including DMM, oscilloscope, and similar equipment.
