Internship Opportunity: Junior/Senior Accounting Major

Position: Accounting Intern

Duration: Fall Semester (with potential extension)

Overview: Mountain Health Arena is seeking a motivated junior or senior accounting major to join our dynamic team as an intern. This opportunity offers exposure to all facets of industry accounting, ranging from accounts receivable and accounts payable to general ledger maintenance and financial reporting. The intern will be an integral part of our small accounting department, gaining hands-on experience in a real-world setting.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with accounts receivable and accounts payable processes
• Contribute to general ledger maintenance
• Participate in financial reporting activities
• Collaborate with the accounting team on various tasks and projects

Special Project: In March 2024, MHA is scheduled to transition from the Sage accounting platform to the Dynamic 365 software. The selected intern will play a crucial role in this transition, providing a unique and valuable experience in adapting to cutting-edge accounting technology.

Compensation: This is a paid position, offering $15 per hour for 20-24 hours per week. Please note that this internship does not include benefits.

Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled as a junior or senior accounting major
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other relevant accounting software
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
