Lighthouse Care Center of Augusta is looking for high spirited, fantastic Certified Recreational Therapists  to join our team.  Recreational Therapists are expected to perform responsible, professional work in the evaluation and implementation of therapeutic recreation programs designed to increase, maintain or restore physical and mental health function as directed by the physician. The individual is responsible for

• assisting patients in reaching their maximum performance levels in the areas of leisure, adaptive and recreational activities.
• working with a team in the delivery of care and participates in educational experiences for interns.
• providing orientation to recreation therapy for patients by conducting groups in recreation therapy and based on the population of the group.
• taking the time to plan the activities in advance in order to allow for effective introduction, the activity and closure.
• intervening effectively with patients who behave inappropriately or who are having difficulty coping, including crisis intervention.
