PGIM: 2024 Investments, Coding and Software Development Internship Program

Timeline: 

 

The internship program will run from Monday, June 3rd, 2024, to Friday, August 9th, 2024.

Your Day to Day:   

 

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:   

  • Web & Application Development, Cloud Architecture, Platform Engineering, Information Security, Cloud Operations, Enterprise Service Management and Database Management   
  • Designing and developing code based on the provided technical requirements, and executing test scenarios to insure the stability and performance of all new code
  • Designing and developing applications which interact with databases to manipulate data
  • Researching and presenting various AWS services to securely deliver secure and enterprise capable solutions   
  • Utilizing Splunk to run complex data analytics on machine-generated data, while leveraging Ansible and CloudFormation to automate application deployment, configuration, and infrastructure-as-code delivery   
  • Researching and managing 3rd party vendor products and integrations using API’s and application toolkits  
  • Developing new applications or proof-of-concepts to support our DevOps initiatives   
  • Utilizing platforms such as Hazlecast and Apache Spark to explore possible solutions using in memory data-grid   
  • Supporting various components of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) while utilizing various programming languages 

 

Required Qualifications:  

  • Candidates must be enrolled in an accredited bachelor’s program graduating between December 2025 and May 2026 
  • Preferred majors include Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Finance, Engineering, Actuarial Science, Statistics, and Economics. We welcome all other technical areas of study that includes programming theory in your curriculum to apply!  
  • Prudential does not provide visa sponsorship for this position. Successful candidates must possess the requisite US employment authorization to be eligible for consideration  

  

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity and understanding of Object-Oriented design concepts, data structures, and algorithms   
  • Familiarity and understanding of one of the following languages, technology stacks and or data tools: Java, C++, Python, .Net (VB, C#, ASP), JavaScript, HTML, XML/XSL, SQL, Batch Scripting, Splunk, SQL, Tableau, Hadoop, ETL  
  • Strong PC skills (MS Office suite including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Outlook)   
  • High Curiosity and willingness to learn   
  • Demonstrated analytical ability and detail orientation
