Brand Strategy and Competitive Insights Bachelors Intern

This internship role is scheduled to 100% remote.

 

Department Description:  Brand Marketing grows, directs, and protects the Kaiser Permanente brand. They shape how Kaiser Permanente is perceived by its many audiences. This department manages the identity of the brand, develop strategies to grow the brand, and act as a catalyst within the organization to ensure Kaiser Permanente delivers consistently on brand promise across experiences and communication touchpoints. Brand Marketing collaborates closely with Kaiser Permanente's Marketing Competitive Insights team, who informs marketing strategy by sharing insights about our competitive landscape and competitor marketing activities.

Target Skills: Strong analytical and time management skills, attention to detail, and intellectual curiosity. Self-motivated, organized, and able to connect the dots between detailed information and the bigger picture.

 

Job Summary: The Brand Strategy and Competitive Insights intern will take the lead on a research project that will support KP's brand refresh, helping to inform marketing strategy by sharing insights about competitor value propositions about care quality, integration, community health, and other key business priorities.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Contributing to a designated project or initiative to meet a KP business objective.
  • Report development and analytics.
  • Project management - planning, execution, and measurement.
  • Learning new applications needed to complete assignments or support the execution of business objectives.
  • Job shadowing in other functional areas.
  • Performing additional duties as required.

Experience

Education

  • Pursuing a bachelors degree or have graduated from an accredited university within the last year.
  • High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.

License, Certification, Registration

  • N/A

Additional Requirements:

  • Aptitude to perform data and process analytics and formulating solutions
  • Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3.0 GPA or above.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to build effective working relationships as well as strong interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to learn quickly and experience producing high quality work in short periods of time.
