Salesforce Inc. seeks Intern - Tax Data Analyst in San Francisco, CA or Seattle, WA:

This role has a direct impact to the US income tax compliance function in two key areas:

  • The team is seeking a tax data analyst intern to collect, organize and interpret tax return data to assist review, provide management insights, address questions and generate predictive risk assessments
  • The team also needs a proposal of a future state cloud-based filing system


What You’ll do:

  • Design, build, and maintain interactive dashboards in Tableau and Tableau CRM, ensuring efficient performance and handling of row-level security.
  • Build dashboard tutorials, document process flows, and establish standards and requirements for various use cases
  • Wrangle and analyze large datasets using Salesforce, SQL/Snowflake, Tableau Prep, or Alteryx, etc, to identify and handle risks in various processes.
  • Develop and maintain robust data validation processes to ensure data accuracy across different dashboards.
  • Conduct an assessment of current tax document storage model to highlight pain points and gaps, validate findings with internal teams and propose a future state storage system


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled full-time in college and pursuing a Business (Accounting), Data Science, Statistics, Economics or Computer science degree (with a focus in business analytics or data science is desired)
  • Graduation date between December 2024 - August 2025
  • Experience telling stories with data and familiarity with Tableau visualization tool
  • Proficent in Excel
  • Experience applying your analytics skills to projects which have had impact on business strategy and performance
  • Interest in unlocking new opportunities for growth by discovering insights, automate processes and predictive modeling.
  • Ability to craft analysis into well-written content


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of basic statistical concepts (e.g. regressions, A/B tests, clustering, probability) and how to apply them to practical questions
  • Basic knowledge of Tax industry

For Washington-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $28 to $28.For California-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $30 to $30.
