US Intern Program, 2025

Teradata’s summer Intern program is a place where students of different backgrounds work together with other interns, employees, mentors, and managers in a collaborative environment to build relationships and develop professional skills. During the summer you will have an opportunity to work on meaningful projects that benefit Teradata, our brand, and culture. If you are a student who loves technology and solving complex challenges as part of a team, we would love to meet you.

Our summer internship program lasts 10-12 weeks beginning in May/June and ending in August/September.

Location

Our program is fully virtual. Interns must remain in the US for the duration of the internship.

Your Role

During your internship you will have the opportunity to work with industry leading professionals on our Products team to deliver new capabilities, features, and services for Teradata platform solutions. You will team up with fellow interns and dynamic cross-functional teams to shape the future of Teradata’s solutions, including Vantage Cloud and Clearscape Analytics. Your work as part of the Products team will directly impact our products and customers.

We will train you and put to practice the skills you have learned. At Teradata we give you an opportunity to transform into a skilled professional in your chosen field of interest, while exploring your potential and interest in an environment that promotes diversity of thought and ideas.

We are looking for energetic, flexible, and culturally aware undergraduate and postgraduate students with excellent problem-solving skills who are want to be part of our 2025 Summer Intern Program.

Are you ready to start your journey?

General Requirements:

• Currently enrolled in an accredited Bachelors, Masters, or PhD program in Computer Sciences, IT, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or Statistics, with a graduation date between December 2025 and June 2027.
• Openness to learn new things and work in a collaborative team environment.
• Experience or familiarity with cloud service providers and on premises vs Cloud software offerings.
• Critical thinking with ability to research, prove hypothesis and sell ideas for strategic direction.
• Ability to understand customer needs and market opportunities.
• Negotiation skills and the ability to through strategic conversations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain tough ideas in an easily understood way.

Hand-On experience within any of the following knowledge areas or technologies will be an advantage:

• Awareness of Product strategy frameworks (Diffusion modelling, Porters 5 forces etc.).
• Experience with analytical tools and platforms (SQL, R/Python).
• Cloud experience (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Experience with one or more programming and scripting languages including Python, Power CLI, JSON, C/C++.
• Machine learning(AI/ML) for example: Dataiku, H20, Aws Sagemarker, Domino Datalab
• Semantic Engineering.
• Common/public Microservice for provisioning and runtime operations related to a SaaS application.
• Ability to work in Linux/Unix environments.
• SQL / Teradata Advanced SQL Engine knowledge.
