IEHP Administrative Assistant (Moreno Valley), IEHP Desert Programs

Position Title: IEHP Administrative Assistant                                                                                                      

Organization: Jewish Family Service of San Diego

Department: IEHP Moreno Valley Office

Position Type: Full-Time (37.5+ hours/week), Non-Exempt

Work Setting: Onsite  

Reports To: Program Manager

Pay Range: $21.72/hour

Position Overview:

JFS is looking for a compassionate, mission-driven individual to join the Desert Team as the IEHP Administrative Assistant. In this role, you have the opportunity to use your organizational skills and administrative experience to make a meaningful difference in your community and help change lives across Riverside and San Bernardino counties. The IEHP Administrative Assistant plays an integral role on the team and supports the entire agency by assisting with clients, keeping files up to date, and assisting Case Managers.  This position reports directly to the program manager and works closely with the Lead IEHP Administrative and the rest of the desert team.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with making and maintaining client files
  • Answering phone calls and assist clients
  • Facilitate conversations with IEHP when questions arise
  • Daily support of all IEHP staff members including staff and off-site meetings
  • Enter data into ETOi within 48 working hours of receiving data
  • Respond to staff and client needs
  • Support IEHP Case Managers
  • Work independently
  • Mail out correspondence
  • Other duties as assigned
  • This position will interact with clients and maintain confidentiality of clients on a consistent basis

Skills/Experience/Abilities That Are a Must-Have:

  • Demonstrate quality interpersonal and communication skills
  • Demonstrate ability to keep all spreadsheets up to date
  • Ability to relate to a diversity of individuals and their needs as they apply to homelessness
  • Ability to proficiently use Word, Outlook, and Excel
  • Ability to write clear, concise e-mails
  • Maintain valid California driver’s license and insurance

Skills/Abilities We’d Like You to Have:

  • Ability to apply common sense when carrying out instructions or when making logical decisions
  • Ability to deal with problems involving mathematical variables
