Internship - Business Systems Analyst

The Business Systems Analyst Internship program for the Summer of 2024 is designed for students seeking a career within the fields of Information Technology and Management Information SystemsThe internship opportunity is designed for highly qualified college/university students currently obtaining their bachelor’s degree. 

Only Juniors and Seniors will be considered. December 2024 or May 2025 Graduates preferred

The goal of the Business Systems Analyst Internship is to provide a well-rounded business management education to the intern. Intern will perform value-added activities for Mansfield while learning how to support users and review, analyze, and evaluate business system needs, and offer feedback where business process optimization is translated into system requirements. 

In addition to learning sound business management skills, which are transferable to any future career, the intern will acquire a working knowledge of Mansfield’s industry position. The initial period will include training and shadowing, with the long-term focus of owned project work making up the majority of the effort after concept introductions and training. 

Key Projects

  • Understand business process, document requirements, objectives, and solutions needed to achieve the overall business strategy.
  • Understand business process and strategy for business unit.
  • Understand business unit use of technology.
  • Perform data consolidation of three existing operational platforms SMARTank, SMARTlinx, Samsara, and Fleetio with focus on PDI integrations
  • Perform data cleansing and governance over shared data including drivers, equipment, tanks, and monitors
  • Support and reinforce user training and communications within SMARTank, SMARTlinx, Samsara, and Fleetio as they relate to transportation and operations

  • Hands on exposure to Data analysis tools, methods and practices that enhance work experience

Mansfield’s summer internship will be a full-time paid internship ($18/hour) starting May 20, 2024 and concluding August 2, 2024 (You must be available to start and be present by that date, May 20th, and be here through the close, August 2nd). You must be available to work onsite in Houston, TX for the ENTIRE internship.
