Internship - Marketing

The goal of the Marketing Internship is to provide a well-rounded business management education to the intern. Intern will perform value-added activities for Mansfield while learning critical marketing activities such as website improvement, prospective customer lead generation, and consolidation of market data used in strategic sales planning.

In addition to learning sound business management skills, which are transferable to any future career, the intern will acquire a working knowledge of Mansfield’s industry position, key supply partners, and customers.   The initial period will include training and shadowing, with the long-term focus of owned project work making up the majority of the effort after concept introductions and training. 

 

Key Projects

  • Help with MSP branding as it is related to the company’s website
  • Market data generation and analysis to help drive strategic planning 
  • Support fleet re-imaging program
  • Develop a campaign to enhance the MSP brand
  • Help build connections to interface more consistently with the MOC Marketing team
     
     

Key Learning Outcomes / Development Opportunities

  • Develop working knowledge of the different departments’ distribution business
  • Understand the different categories of business
  • How to research and effectively manage various customer prospect resources
  • Develop basic proficiency in project management 
  • Enhance communication skills (written, verbal and presentation)

 

Mansfield’s summer internship will be a full-time paid internship ($18/hour) starting May 20, 2024 and concluding August 2, 2024 (You must be available to start and be present by that date, May 20th, and be here through the close, August 2nd). You must be available to work onsite in Houston, TX for the ENTIRE internship.
