JOB TITLE: Intern – Digital Operations Developer

DEPARTMENT: Grid and Automation Technology – Kansas City Headquarters or F&M

LOCATION: Kansas City, MO

PAY RANGE: $20.00 - $24.00

 

Scheduled Work Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. (Other hours as required)

Intern Description:

As a Digital Operations Developer intern, you have the opportunity to learn and grow by working on complex problems that require both technical and creative solutions. You will be part of a team that builds hybrid machine learning and rule-based Power Platform applications, automations, and data visualizations. You will help transform how people, processes and systems co-exist from project discovery through solution implementations. You will gain valuable experience and skills in creating applications that guide workflow, digitize information and automate manual tasks that ultimately improve processing accuracy, speed, consistency and reliability.

 

Job tasks include but not limited to:

 

  • Design, build, configure, test, deploy and maintain solutions built within the Microsoft Power Platform. Develop reusable components, scripts and frameworks designed to replicate manual administrative processes.
  • Partner with Business Analysts to lead internal stakeholders to identify opportunities by analyzing and understanding  business problems, processes and data.
  • Document technical designs, release notes, and other project documentation to support development, security, operations, and maintenance.
  • Iteratively collaborate across colleagues, customers and third-parties during product development and QA to make sure it fits design and solves business problems.
  • Collect and interpret data, analyze results and report findings to internal or external stakeholders.
  • Perform other work as assigned.

 

Education and Experience Requirements:

Candidates must be currently enrolled in a university or technical program. Candidates focusing within Engineering, Computer Science, IT or disciplines may be more technically inclined. All candidates who can demonstrate passion around automation, critical thinking and problem solving will be considered.

 

 

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities Required:

  • Must be dependable, self-motivated, and detail-oriented and have excellent organizational and proofreading skills.
  • Strong investigative, problem solving and analytical skills with ability to extract key themes and determine root causes.
  • Ability to understand business process workflow diagrams or procedural documentation.
  • Must possess the ability to work and communicate effectively with other company personnel.
  • Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets and databases preferred.
  • Must be able to handle multiple priorities and operate efficiently and effectively in high stress environment.

 

Working Conditions:

Most work will be performed within an office environment, but conditions may vary between office and field environments. Time will be spent in an office as well as the field environment with hands-on work.  Travel will be required to support field personnel.  Must have a satisfactory work record including good attendance.
