S&ME's Spark Internship Program is open to current students in a Computer Science or Information Technology program.
As part of the 2024 Spark Internship Program, you will work alongside experienced professional and technical employee-owners within your area of interest. You will be a part of an intern cohort and will learn about all aspects of S&ME. S&ME's internship will provide you with invaluable hands-on experience, access to technical experts across the company, as well as provide professional development to help you transition from campus to career and find success in our industry.
The IT Intern will be performing tasks covering software and hardware support, systems administration, network infrastructure, data analytics, and basic software development:
- Collaborate with IT professionals to support internal users with technical issues.
- Assist with troubleshooting hardware, software, and network problems.
- Assist in the set-up and configuration of new hardware devices.
- Assist in the installation and configuration of software applications on end user devices.
- Help maintain an accurate inventory of hardware assets and update records as needed.
- Participate in coding and scripting tasks, gaining hands-on experience with development tools.
Qualifications:
- Enrolled in an Undergraduate program in Computer Science, Information Technology; Rising Juniors or Seniors preferred.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft software applications and Windows operating systems (including the Microsoft Power Platform)
- Must be available to work onsite in the Raleigh office.
- Willingness to work collaboratively with a diverse IT team.
- Openness to receiving guidance and feedback from experienced professionals.
- At least 18 years of age.

These are full-time, internship positions for a twelve-week period from May 2024 through August 2024 with competitive pay based on experience. Housing or a housing stipend will not be provided. Successful candidates must meet the requirements of the company's Fleet Management Program, Substance Policy, and Reference check program.
