Our mission is to find a mobile solution that actually helps solve the problem of increasing anxiety while at the same time building more resilient friendships in teens worldwide. SocialTech Labs brings together passionate, creative individuals across the globe.

SocialTech Labs, Inc., is working with the National Science Foundation under the iCAP program. We have been tasked with building a mobile application to help reduce anxiety and build happier, more resilient friendships in teens worldwide.

Requirements

Above all, we are looking for applicants who are passionate and committed to our cause and what we are trying to accomplish - helping users worldwide just have a little easier life.

Sense we are a tech startup it helps if you like pizza - just kidding!

Responsibilities

• Our intern staff run our marketing department. The entire team is made up of college and high school interns
• Work on our newly created social media accounts helping us build our engagement and follower base.
• Help storyboard and produce videos to post on our social media accounts
• Research and discuss on our weekly calls how to drive growth
• Send out DMs & emails on IG and TikTok accounts to develop new partnerships with influencers that are willing to help promote our app pro-bono. We are a tech startup that is pre-revenue and has not raised any outside capital as yet.
• Be part of the BrainStorming sessions during our two weekly zoom calls with all our interns to improve our prototype MVP (minimal viable product).
• Conduct Beta Tests of the app with friends
• Potentially hold a launch event at your school - especially if we have two or more interns from your university
• Support with administrative tasks and regulatory activities, such as key meetings and video conferences
• Support the preparation of presentations
• We are a virtual company using Skype as our primary method of day-to-day communication. In addition, we have weekly Zoom calls. Sunday at 6pm EST and Wednesday at 7:30pm EDT

What you'll learn and get

• You will learn how to build an effective overall marketing strategy; social media, news media, partnering with social influencers, time-lines, and analytics
• If your internship with us is successful - we write GREAT reference letters if you should want one.
• We are a tech startup pre-revenue and without outside funding - you will learn how to bootstrap teaching you how to survive in difficult times.
• If you have ever thought about opening your own company - we can teach you how.
• If you interested in tech startups this is a great internship for you. Our co-founders have EXITS up to $750 million, have attended Y-Combinator and Techstars, teach graduate entrepreneur graduate level classes
• How to work effectively in a team environment

Qualifications

• Exceptional organization and communication skills
• You’re excited by complex tasks and the opportunities that ambiguity can offer
• Be self-driven, finding innovative ways to help the team
• Be proficient in Google Docs, Spreadsheets, Presentation, Skype, and Zoom and analytic programs
