Engineer Co-Op

We currently have an opportunity for a Spring 2022 Co-op in the Medical Devices Division to join an Engineering team in our Research & Development department, participating in product development and support activities for apheresis medical devices. 

This position is located at our Lake Zurich, IL Corporate headquarters and the student must be available to work 3 semesters/quarters, including summers, as a co-op while still in school.

Must be a US Citizens or Green card holder

 

Responsibilities

  • Make detailed observations, analyze data and interpret results.
  • Write test cases, experimental reports, summaries and protocols.
  • Perform troubleshooting based on test results.
  • Recommend improvements to system algorithms.

 

Requirements

  • Minimum two years of undergraduate classwork in an engineering field (biomedical or mechanical preferred).
  • Must be proficient in Word and Excel.
  • Strong technical, mathematical and laboratory skills, including trainability in Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) and handling of bio hazardous materials.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including trainability in Good Documentation Practice (GDP) and requirements definition.
  • Working knowledge of data analysis and statistics preferred.
  • Preferred: 3.5 GPA or higher
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, as well as the ability to think and work independently.
