2024 Summer Intern – Capital Markets

Description

The Derivatives and Capital Markets team is lean, highly visible, and is responsible for managing the Company’s capital market transactions, hedging strategies, and derivatives trading. Team responsibilities include managing the company’s capital market transactions, which includes share buybacks or debt issuance.

As an integral part of the team, you will use your critical thinking skills and driven mindset to solve real business and capital problems, collaborate with our actuarial and investment teams to come up with insights for the Finance organization, analyze data to provide capital recommendations, and monitor the different capital market transactions we execute regularly.

Internship Details • Dates: June 2024 to August 2024 • Hourly Rate: $22/hour • Location: New York, NY (Hybrid) • Work Environment:Hybrid- 3 to 4 times in office

 

Qualifications

  • Mathematical or Finance Majors preferred
  • Coding experience, preferably in Python
  • Basic knowledge of financial instruments and models
  • Willing to work in a high-impact effective team
  • Able to work independently under mentorship of senior portfolio managers
  • Able to work alongside different groups and departments to resolve operational issues
