Sales Development Intern (Paid)

The opportunity

As a Sales Development Representative (SDR) intern, you'll embark on a journey of learning and growth. Your primary objectives include fostering relationships with potential clients and assisting the sales team in surpassing revenue targets by initiating sales meetings and opportunities. As an SDR intern, you'll often be the first point of contact for our clients, providing you with a unique opportunity to learn about client interaction and engagement from the ground up. This role is more than just an introduction to sales; it's a deep dive into industry-specific knowledge and the acquisition of new sales techniques under the guidance of our experienced team. You'll learn to use a consultative approach to understand customer needs, introduce TA’s solutions, and seamlessly connect prospective customers with the appropriate Director of Client Strategy. This internship is your pathway to mastering the skills and insights needed to excel as a full-fledged member of the TechnologyAdvice sales team.

 

What you'll do

  • Craft engaging videos, emails, and LinkedIn messages to effectively connect with clients.
  • Respond, engage, and qualify leads and inquiries
  • Exceed daily client engagement goals through phone, email, and social media touches
  • Cold prospect and find new contacts and accounts
  • Create and articulate compelling value propositions around TA offerings
  • Monitor SDR-created deals and brainstorms ways to help move deals through the sales process
  • Establish effective outreach cadences and cold calling tactics/strategies
  • Communicate with prospects and coordinate their calendars with the AE who will be taking the call
  • Work closely with the Director of Client Strategy to pass off opportunities

 

Who you are

You’re a perfect fit for our team if you're honest, hard-working, and efficient in a fast-paced environment, embodying the spirit of a championship team member. Our ideal candidate possesses at least one year of sales experience or equivalent experience in retail or customer service, demonstrating a knack for quick thinking and adaptability. We're looking for someone who is hungry to learn, capable of absorbing new information swiftly, and can bring fresh ideas and creativity to the team. Familiarity with Salesforce, Salesloft, or another CRM platform would be a bonus, but not a necessity. Additionally, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Must be available full-time from Monday, May 13th to Friday, August 9th.
  • If working in a remote work environment, please note that you must have a quiet and set work space that has reliable internet.
