Business Development Intern

The Growth Office of the Health & Civil Sector is looking for interns who have an interest in a career in Marketing, Health Administration, and/or Business Development (BD). The program is designed to prepare high potential interns for future positions in Leidos Growth Office by exposing them to a variety of challenging work environments, and pairing them with BD leaders who will provide mentoring throughout their internship.

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Growth Office team is a dynamic group of professionals responsible for growing and contributing to growth at the Sector level across Health and Civil accounts with the US Government, State and Local Governments, and international customers. Our teams are fast-paced, strategic and highly motivated to win and capture new business. Successful candidates typically have a high-energy level, strong enthusiasm, passion for innovative thinking, a competitive edge, and strong communication skills.

 

We offer intern assignments in the following BD functional areas:

Capture Strategy and Support

Account Plan Management

Business Operations

Market Planning and Research

Pricing Strategies

Position-To-Win and Competitive Intelligence

Proposal Operations

Capture Excellence

 

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
-Actively pursuing a Bachelor’s or Graduate degree in Business, Marketing, Health Administration or related field

-For students pursuing a Bachelor’s degree, has completed at least 3 years of studies

-Have demonstrated a record of high performance and a willingness to learn.

-Outstanding written and verbal communication skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
-3.0 GPA
-Knowledge of US Government's procurement process
-Major in Business, Marketing or related discipline
-Knowledge of Government Contractor’s proposal process and development
