Job Description

Students who are interested in this internship will gain experience in all facets of Airport Marketing and Branding, as well as gain valuable digital and face to face consumer insights experience. 

The Marketing & Branding Interns will be working at a large hub international airport, performing assignments designed to further develop the skills needed to perform a variety of different airport marketing and consumer insights responsibilities. The interns will participate in creation of cross-functional ad campaigns, surveying and consumer insights collection, and closely work with the Assistant Director of Marketing and Branding on the re-brand of PHL. 

Assignments will vary in nature throughout the course of the internship, as the interns and the PHL marketing team work to decipher where the interns’ areas of interest and strengths are. 

The PHL Marketing & Branding interns will perform the below duties, as well as related tasks, as assigned:

•            Marketing Campaigns & Branding Initiatives:

o            Assist in preparation for re-branding initiatives, including but not limited to; agency meetings, consumer analysis review, asset inventory, etc.

o            Contribute to creative direction for PHL marketing collateral both inside and outside terminals

o            Partner with marketing team to concept and execute campaigns for launch of routes, platforms, merchants, services & amenities and more

o            Supports Marketing Strategists with launch and promotion of new products and services

•            Market Research, Surveying & Consumer Insights & Analysis:

o            Supports Marketing Strategists in their development of use cases

o            Assist in compilation of consumer insights from multiple platforms and stakeholders

o            Execute in-terminal and digital surveys to collect real-time data from passengers to assist Marketing Strategists in their work to bring new amenities and services to PHL

o            Assist in analysis of online traffic to reimagine PHL’s digital footprint

•            Miscellaneous Team Needs:

o            Aid in creation of decks, documents, and collateral as needed for revenue department

o            Attend various stakeholder meetings and facilitate special projects. 

o            Act as project manager for large initiatives, marketing campaigns, creative timelines, etc.

o            Scheduling, invoicing and billing

Essential Functions

  1. Assist in creation of marketing campaigns to communicate with and engage passengers
  2. Contribute to overall creative direction for cross-functional marketing collateral
  3. Data & consumer research gathering and analysis
  4. Support of Marketing Strategist in use case creation and launch plans and/or Marketing Director in administrative and creative duties
  5. Digital, web analysis
  6. Record keeping & project management
  7. Additional projects as assigned

Qualifications

  • College Junior or Senior
  • College students: Latest transcript required
  • (1) Letter of recommendation
  • Must pass and maintain SIDA (Security Identification Display Area) and AOA (Airfield Operations Area) clearance.
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screening

Additional requirements:

  • Currently pursuing an education in marketing, branding, consumer insights, business management field with desire to find a career in aviation, tourism, hospitality or similar fields
  • Ability to report to PHL offices to perform duties outlined on-site

Salary Range: $17-$17.56 per hour
