Your Role Accountabilities

Duties could include:

Maintain Executive Financial Management Reporting, geared toward the Senior Leadership Team and the Board of Directors

Support to Manager & Executive Director to ensure the CFOs deliverables toward Committees and Company leadership are met in a timely manner and with a consistent standard

Ensure sure all reporting is cohesive and follows standardized definitions

Maintain Scorecards and track relevant Key Performance Indicators

Support the creation of ad-hoc reporting for Senior Executives, including Board presentations

Create executive-ready presentation materials

Partner with Investor Relations to provide all information necessary to prepare and execute Investor Communication, Earnings Releases, and Investor Days

Assist in the development of effective FX and interest rate risk hedging strategies

Contribute to executive analysis on risk management of WBD’s derivatives portfolio

Collaborate with team members to develop innovative methods of optimizing the WBD’s capital structure with the goal of meeting financial targets and communicating guidance

Assist in forecasting below-EBITDA P&L items, including depreciation, amortization, interest, restructuring, deal-related charges, and investment earnings

Aid in the preparation of quarterly reporting packages for senior management

Support cash flow forecasting activities, including content library licensing

Learn and assist in the various HBO/MAX content acquisitions financial reporting functions and activities.

Domestic Box Office research for future and historical theatrical releases.

Assist in the creation and update of acquired content financial reporting schedules.

Optimize historical theatrical programming schedules in the ATP Hyperion system.

Assist in updating and maintaining details for HBO/MAX acquired content.

Assist with ad hoc requests as necessary.

 

Qualifications & Experience

Essentials needed for the positions that are similar across the above roles (these do not all have to apply to every single role)  

Must be actively enrolled in a U.S.-accredited college or university degree program for the full duration of the internship (proof of enrollment required) 

Must be a rising Junior, Senior or Graduate Student (18 years or older) 

Must be in academic good standing (3.0 or above GPA) 

Warner Bros. Discovery will only consider candidates who are presently authorized to work for any employer in the United States and who will not require work visa sponsorship from Warner Bros. Discovery now or in the future in order to retain their authorization to work in the United States. 

Outstanding analytical skills with the ability to apply in order to influence and drive decision-making

Excellent written and verbal communication skills and proven ability to develop strong professional relationships with internal and external parties

Ability to work effectively with a team and constituents that span multiple geographies globally

Ability to work under pressure, multitask, and prioritize deliverables/projects with competing deadlines

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint

Knowledge and passion for the Media/Entertainment industry are a plus

Organizational skills

Highly motivated to learn and a willing team member

An interest in films and the movie business

 

What to know before applying:

The duration of the summer program regardless of which start/end option is 11 weeks.   

Program date options: 

Option 1: June 3rd – August 16th  

Option 2: June 10th – August 23rd  

Interns will be expected to work 35-40 hours per week in a hybrid capacity.  

Our internships are paid opportunities with a competitive hourly wage. Credit is not required; however, we will provide the necessary documentation for school credit if desired. Relocation is not provided.  

Interviewing will take place from February through mid-April. A WBD team member will contact you if your experiences and interests match an open internship position. Due to the high volume of applications, we are unable to give individual status updates.

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The rate listed is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery’s total compensation package for employees. Pay Rate: $19 per hour USD for undergrad interns, $25 per hour USD for graduate-level interns.
