Summer Intern/Enterprise Operations

Department Description:

Summer Intern to work within GSKs US Commercial organization, as part of the Enterprise Operations team. Enterprise Operations is responsible for the systems, platforms and processes that enable our sales teams to be effective with customers. The internship will work in either our Speaker Programs team, or our Incentive Compensation team. The Speaker Program team run the process to enable educational speaker programs, delivered by key customers. These are high volume, high impact customer interactions that happen every day in markets across the USA. The Incentive Compensation team runs a suite of Reward and Recognition programs which are the priamry levers to drive culture and performance in our sales organization. 

Job Description:

The Intern role will be project specific work to implement new ways of working in either the Speaker Programs or Incentive Compensation teams. The successful candidate will gain experience of working within a high performing sales operation, will see first hand how to drive sales excellence through efficient & effective program designs, and will build experience at working across boundaries to solve real-world business issues.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Pursuing a degree in an undergraduate program, and be able to demonstrate an interest in a business career.
  • Must be able to work full-time (35-40 hours/week) throughout the 12 week internship.
  • Must have an active student status and/or within 12 months post-graduation from a BS or MS degree program. Post-doctoral candidates are not eligible.
  • Exceptional communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Accountable for delivering quality work to tight deadlines
  • Prior work experience in any team environment

Benefits:

  • While GSK embraces a flexible work environment, we do require certain positions to be onsite. Candidates who are hired for an on-site role or hybrid role, and reside outside of 50-miles from their assigned work location, are eligible for relocation stipend. This is a one-time payment to help offset housing & relocation expenses. Please refer to the position details for the requirements of each position. 
  • GSK Interns and Co-ops are offered a competitive hourly pay rate and benefits. Please note, benefits eligibility determined the month following date of hire.
