Civil Engineering Land Development Design Summer Intern
Urban, Ltd. is seeking current Civil Engineering majors for paid internships in our Annandale & Chantilly, Virginia office. Internship duration and schedule can be tailored to fit the qualified individual's needs. Successful senior or graduate-level interns have often transitioned to a full-time Project Engineer position and increased compensation without further interviews or hiring processes upon graduation.
Daily responsibilities will include:
- Learn the site development process as a member of a civil engineering team
- Perform civil engineering design and calculations as they relate to site development and transportation projects
- Provide support to design teams in the completion of civil engineering construction documents
- Prepare exhibits, details, and technical drawings using AutoCAD, GIS, or other software noted below
Requirements/Preferences:
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's level program in Civil Engineering
- Ability to work in one of our offices full-time during the summer of 2024
- Prior internships or coursework related to land development is a plus
Desired Computer Skills:
- AutoCAD and Civil3D
- Microsoft Office
