Vertiv is looking for an Intern - Cyber Security! Candidates must be currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cyber Security, or a related field, and must be able to commit to the full duration of the internship.

Responsibilities could include:

·         Assist in monitoring and analyzing network traffic, logs, and alerts to identify potential security incidents and vulnerabilities.

·         Participate in incident response activities, including triaging, investigating, and remediating security incidents.

·         Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration tests on various systems and applications.

·         Collaborate with the security team to develop and update security policies, procedures, and guidelines.

·         Research and stay current on the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and best practices.

·         Support the implementation and management of security tools and technologies, such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, and endpoint protection.

·         Assist in the development and delivery of cybersecurity awareness training and materials for employees.

·         Contribute to various security projects and initiatives as needed.

 

Desired Qualifications:

·         Required:  Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cyber Security, or a related field.

·         Proficient with MS Office Suite: Excel, Word, PowerPoint

·         Basic understanding of network protocols, security principles, and common cyber threats.

·         Familiarity with security tools and technologies, such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, and endpoint protection is a plus.

·         Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

·         Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

·         Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies.

·         Must be able to commit to the full duration of the internship.
