Your Role Accountabilities

This could include, but is not limited to: ​

As an intern, you will learn to book journal entries into our general ledger systems. You will analyze activity for month end through balance sheet reconciliations. You will also help analyze viewership and determine how our assets are amortized.

Handle day-to-day, month and quarter end close activities including customer invoicing, preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, balance sheet flux analysis, bad debt reserve analysis, SOX control documentation, preparation of SEC Reporting deliverables, and other tasks as requested by management.

Handle daily, monthly and quarter end close activities including processing and reconciling monthly payments and invoicing, affiliate billings, preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, flux analyses, bad debt reserve analyses, SOX control documentation, preparation of SEC Reporting deliverables, and other tasks as requested by management, ensuring all milestones and deadlines are met on time.

Perform revenue cut-off procedures at month and quarter-end including preparation of revenue accruals to ensure revenue is properly and accurately recorded for the period.

Participate in the review of standard and non-standard customer contracts, as needed, to assist in the determination of proper revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606 and Company policies. Monitor compliance with new and existing legal agreements. Articulate areas of specific concern with management appropriately.

 

Qualifications & Experience

Basic understanding of financial accounting principles

Ability to multi-task under tight deadlines

Can work independently and as a team player.

Experience working in Microsoft Excel

Positive attitude and eager to learn

Must be actively enrolled in a U.S. accredited college or university degree program for the full duration of the internship (proof of enrollment required)

Must be a rising Junior, Senior or Graduate Student (18 years or older)

Must be in academic good standing (3.0 or above GPA)

What to know before applying: 

  • The duration of the summer program regardless of which start/end option is 11 weeks.   
    • Program date options: 
      • Option 1: June 3rd – August 16th  
      • Option 2: June 10th – August 23rd  
  • Interns will be expected to work 35-40 hours per week in a hybrid capacity.  
  • Our internships are paid opportunities with a competitive hourly wage. Credit is not required; however, we will provide the necessary documentation for school credit if desired. Relocation is not provided.  
  • Interviewing will take place from February through mid-April. A WBD team member will contact you if your experiences and interests match an open internship position. Due to the high volume of applications, we are unable to give individual status updates.  .
