Kindle Farm School believes that students learn best when their relationships with instructors are strong; therefore, this position requires strong people skills, the ability to set firm but respectful limits, and diverse recreational interests. The ideal candidate will also have the ability to provide experiential education with the capacity to connect mathematical processes to authentic learning units for our students. This position is not a traditional teaching position, in that all students participate in a strong vocational component in their day, including but not limited to Agriculture, Carpentry, and Bike Mechanics. Many of our students have had negative reactions to traditional classroom settings; in our school, they are served in small classes with high staff to student ratios and natural incentives. Most of our students have Individualized Educational Plans created in conjunction with their sending school districts.
