Human Resources Intern

Calgon Carbon Corporation is looking for a dynamic, motivated college student for our 2024 Internship program scheduled to begin on June 3, 2024.  

Position: Human Resources Intern 
Location: Headquarters – Moon Township, PA 

Hours of work: Full-time position with hours generally Monday through Friday 8:30 AM-4:30 PM

Overview 

Our internship program provides real-world experience enabling future professionals the ability to apply what they are learning in school, to applicable situations in a career field they are pursuing. This internship program helps interns gain additional skills that can be applied to future jobs.  

We are looking for an aspiring HR professional to be our Human Resources Intern. In this position, you learn the various roles of the HR department with an emphasis on training. While gaining human resources training experience will be your primary objective in this role, the internship will provide learning opportunities with administrative duties, recruiting efforts and other aspects of HR. 

Duties and Responsibilities (not limited to) 

Complete various administrative duties   

Assist with recruitment process; resume review, scheduling phone screens, revising documents, sit in on interviews   

Assist HR department with employee filing, leaning various HR forms   

Create training content   

Upload training content  

Research training content  

Training grant claims processing  

Assist payroll with various tasks and special projects   

Enroll employees into New Hire and other training modules  

Assist in the coordination of onsite training programs  

Perform other duties as assigned  

Ideal candidates will possess the following skills and characteristics 

A successful intern will be punctual, reliable, detail-oriented, flexible, adaptable to change, self-motivated, customer focused and acquire new skills quickly. 

Successful interns will possess the ability to analyze problems in a systematic and timely manner, and offer creative, innovative suggestions for processes. 

Interns should be self-sufficient, self-motivated, and capable of multi-tasking. 

Relevant Fields of Study - Working towards a bachelor’s degree in: 

Human Resources Management or Business Administration 

Qualifications
