Technical Project Manager Intern

Camping World's Information Technology department is looking for a Technical Project Manager Intern for the summer of 2024. The person in this role will gain an understanding of how the project management lifecycle is aligned with product management and software development life cycle. They will learn what project activities to manage under each phase of the life cycle as well as how to use project management tools efficiently and sharpen communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Learn business processes and IT systems to understand how business processes are managed.
  • Learn project management tools and how to create project plans with timeline and dependencies.
  • Learn and manage project meetings with business and IT stakeholders.
  • Develop status reports for projects being managed.
  • Communicate status, issues, risks to project team, stakeholders, and executives.
  • Deliver small projects within the delivery timeline.
  • Collaborate with other project managers, share knowledge, and best practices.
  • Measure progress via several metrics and constantly looking for a way to improve processes and expediting business delivery.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Junior or Senior in pursuit of execution of business and technology projects.
  • Having some knowledge of technical skills and interest in understanding complex systems and how they are maintained to support different lines of the business.
  • Having interest in learning and managing complex projects including platform migration.
  • Having DevOps and Scaled Agile experience to ensure able to manage complex projects managing waterfall and agile methodology.
  • Good analytical, collaboration, communication, documentation, and presentation skills
  • Ability to connect dots and understand bigger picture
  • Hunger for learning new and applying new learning in a day-to-day work
  • Think strategically and work independently
  • Learn usage of project management tools and use it effectively such as Project Plan, SharePoint, MS Teams, Confluence and JIRA
