Health Center Coordinator
 

Are you a seasoned camp or healthcare enthusiast looking to take on new responsibilities? True Friends wants your passion, communication and leadership skills to ensure healthcare staff are providing high quality care for campers of all ability levels.

As a Healthcare Coordinator you will…

  • Provide administrative support to healthcare teams at Camp Courage and Camp Friendship
  • Be the liaison between healthcare staff and caregivers.
  • Assist in camper check-in and check-out processes each week.
  • Be trained to administer medication to campers.
  • Be responsible for stocking the health center with necessary supplies along with various needs about camp.
  • Assist with volunteer health care check-ins on Sunday mornings.
  • Coordinate emergency transportation as needed.
  • Create and maintain medical profiles for campers.
  • Maintain up to date information in the database.
  • Be trained as a True Friends agency driver.
  • Supervise and mentor the other CNAs and Nurse.
  • Provide healthcare support for staff members during weeks when a nurse is not provided.
  • Provide support for activities and cabins during weeks when healthcare is not provided by True Friends.

*Comprehensive training, housing & meals are provided*

Seasonal position. 
Orientation starts end of May 2024

Last day varies by site: middle of August 2024

  • Age 21+
  • Organized and are able to pay great attention to detail.
  • Successfully able to lead and coach others.
  • Motivated to take initiative and be a role model for all staff.
  • Passionate about making a difference in the world.
  • Able to support others with daily living skills.
  • Happy to live and work in a communal setting.
  • Eager to take initiative and have a strong work ethic.
  • Able to be flexible and adapt to an ever-changing environment.
  • CPR/First Aid certified, highly valued but NOT required: Lifeguard certification, camping experience, prior experience with the population.
  • Preferred: 2+ years driving experience, clean driving history, willingness to drive long distances (4+ hours) on a semi-weekly basis.
