Philotimo Med Abroad has collaborated with the Faculty of Health and Sciences at the University of Thessaly and the University Hospital of Larissa, one of the leading research institutions in Northern Greece. This collaboration sets it apart from other universities as a place to learn. The university offers undergraduate or graduate foreign students an intensive summer research internship opportunity, providing them with the knowledge, tools, and practical experience to effectively respond to pharmacy students.
The course includes lectures, workshops, seminars, shadowing in a community pharmacy, historical site visits, as well as in-town and out-of-town excursions. Classes are held from Monday to Thursday, typically from 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
Focus on skills, not experience
During this program, you will have the opportunity to explore and develop your knowledge of Pharmacy like never before. You will conduct daily lab experiments, experience a consciousness of lost memories, and learn about the enhancement of memories and the treatment of epilepsy, among other topics.
In addition, during your shadowing experience at a community pharmacy, you will learn from expert pharmacists how to handle the daily delivery of various medications, take blood pressure readings, and monitor other vital signs.
Both aspects of the program will help you gain confidence in your skills while immersing yourself in a new culture.
