Business Development Intern

Proskauer is seeking a highly motivated and creative individual with an interest in business development to join our team. The Business Development Intern will work closely with business and marketing professionals assisting in the coordination and execution of the Firm’s business development programs and initiatives and will work across all areas of the department.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist with the preparation of new business presentations and pitches
  • Conduct client, prospect, industry and market research to support targeted initiatives
  • Assist with the development and publishing of internal and external communications content across the Firm’s various marketing channels, including websites, blogs, social media and email
  • Work with the communications, digital media and design teams to coordinate the posting of both internal and client-facing news items on the Firm’s websites and Intranet 
  • Assist with the drafting and tracking of submissions for directories and awards
  • Organize and help build and maintain target client lists, industry experience and related matter data in the Firm’s experience database
  • Assist the events team with the logistics and execution of webinars, seminars, conferences and other Firm-sponsored events
  • Attend team and project meetings and assist with developing and monitoring project plans, schedules and timetables
  • Other duties as needed

 

Qualifications:

  • Excellent written communication with strong eye for detail 
  • Excellent work ethic and a positive, proactive style
  • High degree of drive and personal initiative 
  • Ability to communicate effectively with professional level staff and peers and ability to demonstrate diplomacy, listening and influencing skills
  • Strong organizational and project management skills; ability to prioritize, plan ahead and offer solutions
  • Excellent analytic and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Willingness to work collaboratively as a member of a team with a positive attitude


This internship will run from June 3, 2024 through July 26, 2024.


This position will require physical presence in Proskauer’s offices on a regular basis (at least 3x per week, or more, if it becomes the policy of the Firm or as business needs require). The anticipated compensation for this position is $17 per hour. The actual salary offered will be based on a number of factors including but not limited to the qualifications of the applicant, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
