Marketing Media Co-Op

The Bimbo Bakeries USA Co-Op program is a dynamic 5-month, paid, opportunity that affords students a remarkable experience to participate in fast-paced real world projects designed to further develop strategic project management, analytical problem solving, and managerial leadership skills. Mentors will be designated to guide student collaborations and project work in each area. Students will be exposed to a variety of functional areas such as media strategy, integrated agency team collaboration, and financial operations while earning college credits in various locations nationwide. The students will gain valuable experience and transferrable skills.

This is an opportunity to join BBU’s Media, Analytics and Content (MAC) team, a group that is comprised of subject matter experts supporting the individual Brand teams with strategy and planning.  The ideal candidate will be interested in learning more about digital marketing for our household staple brands, our relationship with external agency partners, and how we support Brand marketing initiatives.

This Co-Op employee would have the ability to work cross functionally and have direct hands-on collaboration with both internal and agency teams, including Media and Creative agencies, brand management, analytics, creative, and finance.

 

Key Job Responsibilities:

This assignment will be centered on supporting the Media Management team with operational tasks related to planning and implementation of strategic media initiatives. This will include: communicating media updates and relevant agency documents to internal brand teams, participating in inter-agency communications between creative and media, and processing invoices under the supervision of the Media Manager.

  • Attend and participate in regular status calls and ad hoc meetings with internal and external partners, where note-taking and recapping of next steps is essential
  • Communicate updates to internal/external teams in a professional manner as guided by Media Manager
  • Support with processing of monthly invoices from external agency using financial templates and programs
  • Learning and being engaged when it comes to the digital media landscape, including media partners/products and industry best practices

Education and Work History:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Digital Media, or related area of study.
  • Interested in learning more about/working with brand marketing, media and advertising strategies and execution
  • Must possess strong leadership, computer, and communication (verbal and written) skills.
  • Microsoft Suite proficiency, including Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to collect, analyze and interpret data
  • Understanding of project management process.
  • Ability to multi-task and problem solve in a challenging environment.
