BBW Intern: Business Systems Analyst - IT Applications

INTERNSHIP OVERVIEW:

Our internship program is a dynamic group of emerging, high potential rising university seniors who will have the opportunity to participate in a 10-week summer internship at the World’s Leading Fragrance Specialty Retailer. 

 This internship will provide the opportunity for a comprehensive view of the various functional areas within specialty retail. You will have the opportunity to work along-side and learn from BBW associates who will provide training, development and engagement of your function and our Brand.

BBW Intern: Business Systems Analyst -IT Applications 

DESCRIPTION:

At Bath & Body Works, our PLM Technical Application Delivery team supports the development systems used for designing and creating innovative new products and the amazing products customers love. It’s our mission to support development of winning products through delivering exceptional fragrances and experiences. This work requires strong collaboration with our merchant and supply chain partners and a constant drive to exceed customer expectations.

Our 10-week internship experience will provide the opportunity for a comprehensive learning experience in the areas of product and fragrance development, package design, sourcing and regulatory compliance with additional insights into commercialization and operations within a fast paced, innovative retail brand. Integrated in the program are opportunities to build solutions for the business that are customer centric and focused on driving growth within the brand.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • As a PLM Intern, you will learn and apply various tasks and processes, including, but not limited to:
  • Responsibilities may range from hands on technical configuration of system settings to business focused skills developing and delivering training. 
  • Contribute to SAP upgrade project implementation through a variety of activities, including but not limited to system set up, data migration, testing, training, and support.   
  • Learn the end-to-end development process and connections that enable creation, manufacturing and movement of product to our customers
  • Develop project management skills through supporting in all phases of a project lifecycle including scoping, planning, requirement, design, development, testing, implementation, support, training, and status reporting 
  • Support business use cases, ensuring business objectives are met and critical points of alignment are addressed. 
  • Supports current Beauty & Home PLM Business Partners, including Fragrance & Product Development, Packaging Development, Sourcing & Costing, Formula Development, Safety/ Regulatory, Compliance, Product Testing, Commercialization, and Operations
  • Works closely with Application System Analysts, and cross functional technology team members to support application delivery initiatives 

QUALIFICATIONS:

To be considered for the PLM Internship role, the following qualifications are desired:

•            2 to 3 years of postsecondary education or college with a minimum 3.0 GPA 

•            Must be able to work 40 hours per week during summer

•            Self-motivated, flexible, innate curiosity and desire to learn

•            Customer focused with strong listening and problem-solving skills

•            A team player with good communication and collaboration skills

•            Organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks

•            Have a passion for retail and technology

•            Computer fluency with programs such as Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel
