Claims Reporting Master's Intern

This role is scheduled to be 100% remote. While remote, finalists MUST reside in one of the following states to be eligible for employment with Kaiser Permanente: CA, OR, WA, HI, CO, GA, MD, VA, CT, DC, or IL.
Department Description:
Responsible for gathering data and information on targeted variables in an established systematic fashion, preparing data for analytic efforts, interpreting data analyses, executing creative data analytic approaches leading to actionable outcomes, develops, implements, and automates business and reporting solutions, and develops analytical and/or statistical models enabling informed business decisions.
Internship Project(s):
Depending on the timing, the intern can assist in several projects that are designed to improve the department's efficiency. Project (1) support the development of Data Catalog that enhances search capability from data source, query to reports; Project (2) support the review and organization of dashboards on Tableau server to improve user experience; Project (3) support the review and development of data definition for input data quality control; Project (4) support the development of JIRA workflow for intake management.

- Aptitude to perform data and process analytics and formulating solutions.
- Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

- 3.0 GPA or above
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proven ability to build effective working relationships as well as strong interpersonal skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to learn quickly and experience producing high quality work in short periods of time.
