Our Lincoln, RI office is seeking a student intern who will assist the Enterprise Services & Applications team members by performing tasks necessary to support .Net & Java programming, as well as build foundational skills and knowledge in this area.

You will take part in various training and support activities aimed to help you become more familiar with the team, department structure, and IT Industry.

Work location: Open to fulltime remote and hybrid work options.

Work Hours: Monday – Friday during normal business hours, as schedule allows.

Hourly Rate: $18 or $20 depending on school year

Primary Tasks & Responsibilities:

  • Assist team members by performing tasks necessary to support Enterprise Services & Applications as well as build foundational skills and knowledge.
  • Work closely with experienced staff to acquire the skills and knowledge necessary to become proficient in the Enterprise Services & Applications area.
  • Gain knowledge of the CIS Department technologies and procedures involved with the various CIS sections.
  • Take the initiative to increase understanding of all job-related areas.
  • Effectively communicate with the customers, manager, mentors, and team members on the status of work. Ask relevant questions and listen attentively with patience as part of communication.

Qualifications:

  • Enrolled in an IT Bachelor’s degree program at an accredited college/university.
  • A GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred.
  • Experience with .Net & Java programming
  • Familiarity with basic computer concepts.
  • Desire to work in a technical field.
  • Curious, inquisitive, and willing to learn.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be well-organized and can work in a team environment.
  • Ability to manage responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to complete routine tasks independently over time.  This includes gaining the functional, technical, and problem-solving skills needed to complete assignments.
