Human Resources IT Internship
Essential Duties:
- Work closely with HRIS team to understand HR systems and databases. Bring ideas for system upgrades and improvements.
- Build SharePoint sites, establish information architecture, create user interface, and set up permissions.
- Maintain HR databases and employee records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Organize and enhance Microsoft Teams files and folders.
- Format “How To” guides or catalogs for associates.
- Establish self-serve reports in HR systems.
- Assist in Power BI integration for the Human Resources team.
- Stay informed about trends and best practices in IT HR and contribute ideas for continuous improvement.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures including IATF16949 and ISO14000 related policies as applicable.
Other Duties:
- Perform all job-related task as assigned.
Academic Skills/Knowledge/Experience:
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in Human Resources. Management, Business Administration, Computer Science, Psychology, Information Technology or related field.
- Possess a strong interest in pursuing a career in Human Resources and Information Technology.
- The ability to keep information confidential. Tact and discretion are a must.
- Eager to learn and assist team members.
- The ability to think critically and problem solve.
- Solid oral and written communications skills are essential.
- Requires excellent computer skills, with proficiency in the use of MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Adobe
- Familiarity with HRIS is a plus.
- Strong collaboration skills and excellent interpersonal skills are essential.
- Detail-oriented and proactive approach to tasks.
- Proactive and self-motivated with the ability to work independently and part of a team.
- Possess mental faculties consistent with performing at least the minimum essential functions of the job.
