Public Relations & Digital Marketing

Intern with organizations dedicated to leveraging the power of PR and digital marketing to address pressing social issues in Kosovo. 

Being the youngest country in Europe, Kosovo experienced a delayed introduction to technology and the internet. However, the digital landscape has since become integral to education, communication, and marketing within the nation. Despite ongoing development, Kosovo still encounters distinct social, political, and economic challenges that require innovative solutions. As a result, these organizations are looking for new approaches to effectively utilize public relations and digital marketing to advocate for, raise awareness of, and mobilize support for the nation's most pressing needs. These organizations are committed to driving positive change in areas such as human rights, gender equity, healthcare, social welfare, economic development, and environmental sustainability through strategic communication and online outreach.

Depending on the Intern’s skill set and interest, the Intern will be assigned to one or more projects related to social issues in Kosovo, with a focus on public relations and digital marketing strategies:

• Videography
• Social Media Campaigns
• Web Design & Development
• Graphic Design & Multimedia
• Content Strategy & Copywriting
• Public Education Campaigns & Development
   

The Ideal Candidate

Isla seeks interns who share a commitment to fostering change and addressing social issues, through public relations in various sectors including human rights, education, healthcare, environmental conservation, youth development, and community engagement.

This internship provides a wonderful opportunity to earn academic credit to meet practicum, research, or capstone project requirements towards your degree. Or if you choose to intern abroad simply to gain international work experience in this unique global community, that is more than doable, too!

Skills & Abilities

• University undergrad and graduate students, and young professionals working on a degree (or who have graduated in fields) in public relations, digital marketing, communications, journalism, media studies, advertising, graphic design, or other-related fields.
• Willingness to take initiative and work under minimal guidance in both office and field settings.
• Motivated and committed to work effectively as part of an inter-cultural team.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, and willingness to learn.
• Be flexible and work to understand Kosovo's culture, history, and current events.
