Accounting Internship

State Electric Supply Company is and full-line Electrical Supply and Distribution Company. We are currently have an internship opportunity in our Accounting Department for qualified Accounting or Finance students. We are located within walking distance of Marshall University main campus. This is a paid, part-time internship which will average 20-30 hours per week (will work around school schedule), Monday-Friday, during business hours 7am-5pm. 

As an accounting intern you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various aspects of accounting. 

Responsibilities: 

• Assisting accounts payable and Receivable
• Preparing and analyzing financial reports
• Supporting the accounting team
• Collaborate with other departments while gathering financial data
• Other job duties as assigned.

Intern qualifications include:

• Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, or Senior currently enrolled in a Bachelors program in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Minimum GPA: 3.00
• Proficiency in Microsoft Products
• It is the student's responsibility to register with their Department Heads and Career Services if pursuing transcript or academic credit hours; and comply with university requirements.
