Operations Intern - Soldier Field ASM Global

POSITION:  Operations Intern  

REPORTS TO: Director of Operations  

 

ASM Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities has an immediate opening for an Operations Intern at Soldier Field. The Operations Intern provides assistance to stadium staff to support in the planning, organizing, and execution of events at Soldier Field. The Operations Intern will gain valuable event and operations experience while working in a fast-paced environment.  

 

ESSENTIAL DUITES AND RESPOSIBILITIES:  

  • Takes direction from staff to oversee several aspects of facility operations related to events
  • Creates event signage, monitors event set-up, and assists with day-of event operations
  • Assists in assuring proper routine maintenance and cleanliness for all front of house and back of house spaces
  • Prepares and monitors function spaces and room-sets to accommodate client’s needs
  • Interfaces with operation’s team during event set ups and changeovers
  • Plays a liaison role between the Operations team and other stadium departments including Marketing, Sales, Events, Security, Concessions, Cleaning, Trades, and Parking, for all day-of event needs
  • Conducts adequate customers service tasks on the day-of event
  • Assists with operations tasks and responsibilities before, during, and after events
  • Conducts other tasks and responsibilities as signed

 

QUALIFICATIONS:  To perform this job successfully, the Operations Intern must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION AND EXPEREINCE: Current undergraduate or master’s college/university student seeking academic credit or seeking to gain experience in the event operations field.  

SKILLS REQUIRED:  

  • Excellent organizational, planning and interpersonal skills
  • Strong written and verbal skills
  • Professional presentation, appearance and strong work ethics
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and related duties
  • Ability to work under limited supervision and to interact with a variety of clients and patrons
  • Ability to work long and irregular hours that may vary due to functions and may include daytime, evenings, weekends, and holidays

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may require to work both indoors and outdoors as required by the event. The individual must have the physical ability to maneuver around the facility, at times, walking and/or standing up to 8-10 hours daily. The individual must be able to carry and lift up to 50 pounds when needed.
