Inclusion Aide for PrimeTime

JOB DESCRIPTION. 

Inclusion aides are responsible for the day-to-day supervision and inclusion of their assigned child(ren). This position is the go to person if there is a child who could benefit from an adaptation to instructional materials to enhance the student’s performance.

We are currently looking for part-time candidates to join schools throughout San Diego, including schools in Mira Mesa, Serra Mesa, Pacific Beach, Paradise Hills, Rolando Park, and Clairemont.

 

 

JOB COMPLEXITY.

  • Develop and implement behavior support and intervention plans and modeling specialized strategies and techniques
  • Develop, implement and model social skill development techniques, including social stories, peer facilitation, and peer training
  • Assist in developing and implementing de-escalation strategies to assist or support with student development
  • Assist in the preparation and adaptation of instruction materials to enhance student performance in the program
  • Provide Site Director with enrichment program ideas focusing on the inclusion of the assigned child(ren)
  • Provide assigned child(ren) assistance with academic homework 

 

MINIMUM COMPETENCIES.

  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Must have 48 completed college units OR pass the District’s Classroom Assistant Proficiency Exam (a basic math and literacy exam)
  • Valid CPR and First Aid Certified required upon hire
  • Must have a minimum of 6 months experience with children with special needs (paid or unpaid) in any of the following settings: working, volunteering, or babysitting

 

 

COMPENSATION. 

  • Starting Rate: $21.00 per hour (all new hires begin at starting salary regardless of experience)
  • Part Time benefits include dental, vision, pet, life, and critical illness insurance, a 403b retirement plan plus match, and CA Paid Sick Leave in addition to hands-on training, virtual courses, and live presentations.
