INTERNSHIP OVERVIEW:

Our internship program is a dynamic group of emerging, high potential rising university seniors who will have the opportunity to participate in a 10-week summer internship at the World’s Leading Fragrance Specialty Retailer. 

 This internship will provide the opportunity for a comprehensive view of the various functional areas within specialty retail. You will have the opportunity to work along-side and learn from BBW associates who will provide training, development and engagement of your function and our Brand.

ROLE: Front-End Web Developer Intern

At Bath & Body Works, the customer comes first. This means that we pay just as much attention to customers who use our digital products as those who come into our brick-and-mortar stores. The Bath & Body Works Front-End Web Development team is looking for a Front-End Developer Intern who will support in creating great experiences for our website.

Description:

Bath & Body Works is looking for a Front-End Development Intern to support developing enhancements for bathandbodyworks.com. The Front-End Development Intern will be responsible for writing clean and thoughtful code that fulfills user stories. We collaborate with other teams to refine and create solutions that meet business needs and deliver great experiences for our customers. We explore opportunities to improve site performance, code stability, and add organized architecture to our codebase through following development best practice. 

Requirements:

  • You have an in-depth understanding of modern web development fundamentals (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, React preferred).
  • Experience with version control (git preferred).
  • Familiar with task runners / bundlers (gulp, grunt, webpack).
  • Familiar with Node / NPM.
  • High-level understanding of back-end technologies.
  • Experience collaborating with others to write and review code.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • You're self-motivated and dedicated. 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Education & Experience
  • Pursuing a degree in Computer Science
  • Must be able to work 40 hours per week during summer 2024
  • Computer fluency with programs such as Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel
  • Innate curiosity and desire to learn, strong analytical and logical thinking skills
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize
  • Have a strong passion for retail
