AOT Technician III - Stormwater

The Agency of Transportation (AOT) is seeking Technical Apprentices. These positions will support work efforts noted under our Federal Highway Work Program and assist in maintaining compliance with Federal Clean Water Act NPDES Permits.

These positions will also be collecting roadside water samples to test for any evidence of illicit discharges as part of our Illicit Discharge Detection and Elimination (IDDE) program as part of our the Agency's Transportation Separate Storm Sewer System (TS4) permit.

This work requires the ability to traverse rough terrain alongside the state highway for long durations of time. Candidates should be comfortable with the use of Microsoft suite and preferably the ability to navigate using a mobile device such as an iPad.

These positions will be stationed in Berlin, VT but will mainly work in the Addison County area with some travel to parts of Chittenden and Franklin Counties. It is anticipated that these positions will work about 40 hours per week for about four months.
