Internship- Strategic/Business Operations

The intern will be responsible for assisting the business operations team with conducting an exhaustive inventory of physical assets and developing systems to maintain inventory accuracy on an ongoing basis. The intern will utilize best practices in fields of industrial engineering, inventory management, and continuous improvement.

Location: Hybrid (Atlanta, GA) Headquaters

 

  • Work 37.5/week for the summer semester
  • Be responsible for his or her assigned work schedule and report to the internship site at the agreed upon time
  • Meet with the Internship Liaison on a weekly basis to discuss project progress and internship goals
  • Follow the CDC Foundation policies and procedures regarding dress code and professional behavior
  • Inform the Internship Liaison of any problems that might occur in a timely and reasonable manner, including concerns regarding the lack of substantive work assignments; and
  • Supply relevant forms and evaluations to the Internship Liaison to be completed and follow up to ensure timely submission.

 

  • The primary activities of the intern will be to: defining what is a CDF Foundation asset, locating and cataloguing said asset, development of a tracking system, scheduling the disposal of damaged assets, recommending potential AI solutions to asset management, researching asset management practices specific to Non-profit and/or governmental organizations.

 

  • Coursework and/or related practical experience in asset management, industrial engineering and/or logistics.
  • Proficient in the use of Office 365 applications, presentation material preparations, Zoom and Microsoft Teams applications, etc.
