Business Analyst Intern

The Customer Engagement Solutions Team supports, enhances, and optimizes the processes and tools that assist the ideation, design, launch, service, and retirement of our world class Water Heaters, Boiler, and Water Treatment products. 

 

We are offering an exciting opportunity for an individual to Intern and gain hands-on experience as a business analyst using SAP. This internship provides a unique chance to work closely with our experienced team and developing an in-depth knowledge and understanding of SAP Sales and Distribution (SD), Salesforce integrations, portal integrations, and data quality.

 

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Develop a deep understanding of A.O.Smith’s Customer Engagement Solutions (CES) business processes and tools including:
    • Order entry, quoting, warranty, after sales support, trade compliance, pricing and customer master
    • SAP, Salesforce, Vistex
  • Support Customer Engagement Solutions (CES) activities including: 
    • Engagement in process mapping, documentation, testing, training, and deployment activities during SAP Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) implementations and upgrades
    • Coordinating standardization and best practices efforts across the organization
    • Support projects with support including scoping, solutioning, deployment, testing, training, change management, communication, and measuring business value 
    • Complete incidents and enhancement requests and keep users up to date on status 
  • Optimize Sales and Distribution (SD) solution by:
    • Perform process mapping
    • Gathering and validating requirements
    • Developing solutions and functional specifications
    • Clarifying and refining requirements with software development teams
    • Developing test plans, scripts, and data sets
    • Coordinating testing activities
    • Maintaining documentation
    • Conducting user training
  • Build and Support relationships between the CES team, other solutions teams, and the rest of our organization

 

Qualifications:

 

- Currently enrolled in a degree program in information technology, business, engineering, or a related field.

- Basic understanding of an ERP system  

- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

- Eagerness to learn and willingness to take on new challenges

- Demonstrated experience working with Microsoft Office

- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
