Entrepreneurship can be seen as a transformative force for a nation's economy. Effective grassroots efforts in entrepreneurship promote economic growth, creation of jobs, and improvement to an overall standard of living and well-being. With a vibrant startup ecosystem and increasing interest from investors, these growing regions have immense potential for young entrepreneurs to make a significant impact. These organizations are dedicated to supporting startups and venture capital efforts by providing resources, mentorship, and networking opportunities. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to work closely with local professionals and community members, gaining hands-on experience in advocacy, deal sourcing, and business/data/investment analysis. You will also contribute to the organization’s mission of empowering entrepreneurship and nurturing a culture of innovation.
Depending on the Intern’s skill set and interest, the Intern will be assigned to one or more of the following projects associated with venture capitals and startups:
- Research & Policy Analysis
- Startup Ecosystem Mapping & Analysis
- Startup Mentorship & Advocacy
- Startup Funding & Investment Strategy Development
- Entrepreneurial Education Outreach Campaigns

Skills & Abilities
- University undergraduate and graduate students, and young professionals working on a degree (or who have graduated in fields) in business marketing, business management, data analytics, finance, accounting, economics, or other-related fields.
- Willingness to take initiative and work under minimal guidance in both office and field settings.
- Motivated and committed to work effectively as part of an inter-cultural team.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, and willingness to learn.
- Be flexible and work to understand diverse cultures, history, and relative current events.
