Pharmacy Intern

Location: Remote Pennsylvania or Tennessee only

Under the supervision of a licensed Pharmacist, the Pharmacy Intern will assist clients with the needs of their patients as they relate to entering and processing prescriptions for profile and/or dispense.

 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Proficient in current technology system(s) to perform the following tasks:  enter patient admissions, change an active patient to discharge/deceased status, transfer patients, update demographic changes, process new orders for dispense and refills
  • Receive new oral prescription orders
  • Establish a patient medication profile for review by a Pharmacist
  • Assist callers with general and customer service issues including FedEx package tracking and completing the CS report form to report all service failures
  • Provide superior customer service to our hospice partners
  • Accurately and timely adjudicate prescriptions for mail order dispense
  • Assist local pharmacies with adjudication of claims
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Hours: Flexible around school schedule. Can work up to 19 hours per week. The hours of operation are Monday through Friday 7:30am - 10pm CST; Weekend and Holidays 8a – 7p CST

 

Training schedule: Will be full time Monday through Friday 9am to 5:30pm est for 4 weeks.

Required Qualifications

  • Actively enrolled as a 2nd or 3rd year student in an accredited College of Pharmacy
  • Must work and reside in Tennessee or Pennsylvania
  • If working in Pennsylvania you must have an active pharmacy intern license
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-motivated, organized
  • Team player
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to follow through on tasks assignments
  • Possess unquestionable personal and professional ethics, in concert with the standards of Enclara Pharmacia
  • Adaptable to learning new systems and continual changes in practice environment

 

Education

Currently enrolled in an accredited college of Pharmacy

 

Computer Skills

  • General Windows-based computer skills
  • Strong typing skills
  • General working knowledge of Microsoft applications including Outlook
