Accounting Intern

We're seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Accounting Intern to join our team. You'll be part of a paid program aimed at giving you hands-on experience and readying you for a fulfilling career in corporate accounting. As an Accounting Intern, you'll support our Accounting Department with diverse tasks, offering you practical exposure to financial principles and theories beyond the classroom.

What You’ll Do:

  • Prepare journal entries for the general ledger and various subsidiary ledgers by compiling, researching, and analyzing data.
  • Assist in developing reports, as required, which include: financial analysis, fixed assets, depreciation and other related reports as assigned.
  • Support the month-end closing process and quarterly financial reporting process.
  • Maintain account balances and reconcile differences between various account balances and external sources of comparison.
  • Update journal entry documentation.
  • Assist with ad hoc projects and analysis, as needed.

What You’ll Need:

  • Open to college junior/senior level students and recent graduates with a major in Accounting, Finance or related field.
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • A fast learner with an analytical mind and an inquisitive nature.
  • Strong technical skills; proficient in MS Word and PowerPoint and advanced Excel skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • High attention to detail, flexibility, follow-through, judgment, and organizational skills.
  • Must be available to work Monday-Friday (40 hours/week) for the duration of the internship program. Internship dates: June 3 – August 9
