About the Position:
Under the supervision of the Branch Chief, a Senior Transportation Engineer, the Transportation Engineer will coordinate with System and Regional Planning, Traffic Modeling, Traffic Operations, and Project Management to deliver Planning studies, documents, and products. The incumbent will assist in the development and scope of Project Initiation Documents (PIDs) for integration of System Planning and Asset Management. The incumbent will also conduct and review traffic system analysis, apply engineering judgment and technical assistance for the development and delivery of SHOPP products, act as a liaison between Planning and Programming, and provide GIS support as needed.
