Intern Engineering - Fall 2024

POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the direction of the Engineering Manager and in conformance with basic and sound engineering principles, policies, and controls, conducts specialized manufacturing/product engineering assignments to develop new methods, tooling, cost estimates, new products and/or to resolve engineering problems involved in product and manufacturing processes.  In addition, supports Quality in improvement of quality practices, procedures, and overall quality management system.

 

EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:

Possess, or currently pursuing a college degree in engineering or an equivalent technical degree.

Ideal candidates will have manufacturing and related engineering experience in various manufacturing and engineering functions as well as a sufficient background and technical knowledge to assume responsibilities.

 

SPECIAL EQUIPMENT OR OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

Knowledge and experience in AutoCAD, Solidworks and Solidworks simulation preferred.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.) Create LEAN manufacturing layouts, methods, time study’s, etc.

2.) Involvement in filter and other product related development.

3.) Involvement in process development and continuous improvement.

4.) Creation and revision of manufacturing specifications.

5.) Creation and revision of new raw material/component

specifications and/or drawings.

6.) Involvement with and all engineering and quality related tasks.
