Calcium+Company is seeking an Accounting or Finance major to join our Finance & Accounting team headquartered in Philadelphia this summer. This co-op will provide you the opportunity to observe and learn the working and daily activities of a growing, dynamic advertising agency. You will work closely with the Director of Client Finances and Senior Accounting Manager.
Key Job Responsibilities
As a co-op, you will assist with the following.
- General bookkeeping, including posting entries to the general ledger, reviewing accounts and preparing reports from the accounting application
- Posting vendor invoices, monitoring accounts payable and preparing check-runs
- Monitoring cash activity and forecasting cash needs
- Prepare bank reconciliations
- Ad hoc projects and requests
- Assist Client Finance team with burn reports, weekly client meetings and invoicing
Qualifications
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
- Full-time junior or senior in an accredited 4-year College or University
- Accounting major or Finance major having completed intermediate financial accounting courses with 3.0 or higher GPA (or equivalent standard)
- Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work alone and with teams
