Financial Analyst Intern
As the Financial Analyst you will work with financial and accounting principles, including budgeting, year-end accounting and financial statements. Job Description We are seeking a Financial Analyst Intern for Southwest Sun Solar Inc Internship Experience Program for Summer 2024!
The internship program will expose the student to real projects and learning opportunities that relate to their current area of interest or a similar area. As part of the internship, Southwest Sun Solar will provide learning experiences throughout the organization, so that each intern understands our business. From an everyday perspective, the interns will contribute to best-in-class research, assist with day-to-day responsibilities, contribute to business development initiatives, and carry out tasks for both internal and external clients
Responsibility
- Prepare financial and operational analyses for internal and external management
- Project management and operational support
- Team and cross-functional communication
- Produce investment memoranda for internal approvals, equity/debt capital markets, and monthly project reporting/analysis
- Collect, analyze and interpret financial data to support decision-making process
- Prepare monthly financial reports including actuals and forecast
- Complete underwriting analyses of investments and projects
- Evaluate financial and/or operating statements
- Assist in the closing process of new acquisitions, debt financing, equity recapitalization, and dispositions
- Other tasks and/or projects as needed
Qualification
- Must be willing to work with and learn new technologies
- Highly organized and able to prioritize tasks
- Excellent time management and ability to multitask and meet constant deadlines
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Knowledge of financial statements
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
